Understanding Overthinking

A free 19-minute workshop excerpt that gives you a genuine sense of what it’s like to work together.

One of the questions people often ask before booking a counselling session is, “What’s it actually like to work with you?”

Rather than trying to answer that in words, I thought it might be more helpful to let you experience it for yourself.

The video below is a 19-minute excerpt from a workshop I presented on understanding overthinking. While it isn’t a counselling session, it does provide a genuine sense of how I think, the way I explore emotional struggles, and the approach I bring to my work with clients.

If you’ve found yourself caught in cycles of overthinking, worry or mental exhaustion, I hope this workshop offers a different perspective. Rather than focusing on techniques to stop thoughts, we explore why overthinking develops in the first place, how it often becomes a protective pattern, and why understanding can create more lasting change than simply trying to control the mind.
